Our Story

We have been running as a family business since opening our doors back in 1971, by David’s father John Belcher. David joined the shop at the age of 16 where he learnt the art of Butchery alongside his father.

Johns’ knowledge and skills were passed down to David who took over the shop when John approached retirement. The family theme has continued with David’s children, Emma and Dan, working with him to ensure that the family values are kept in the day to day running of the business.

We place huge importance in supplying you with fresh, locally sourced meat at a high standard throughout the year. We’re proud to say that our meat is ADHB approved from our trusted suppliers who we have used for many years.

Our goal is to ensure customers have a traditional experience fit for the modern day, where it’s easy to choose exactly what they want, with peace of mind of knowing where their meat is from.
